                Wordly is a lexicon to help you improve your level of English - that is the total amount of words you know.


How does it work? 

1. You're reading online and found a word you don't know.
2. Right click and "--> Save to Wordly" saves it to your personal lexicon. 
3. Once a week you get 5 words and descriptions by email and we prompt you to use them for that week.
Yes, it's that simple. And it works.

This allows you to  extend your English vocabulary just by using it passively and using the words actively with minimum impact with a minimum of 260 new words learnt every year. 

Imagine how much better you will be able to express yourself - when the unique barrier you need to overcome as a language learner is expressing yourself freely like you would in your native language.



The science bit.

Psychological and Neurolinguistic studies demonstrate to increase the percentage of retention and usage of words in the right way and in the right context (what's also known as language mastery*) is dependent of repetition.

The best way to acquire a bigger lexicon/vocabulary is not to read the dictionary. The best way  is to learn them on the context you found them and to use them from then onward repeatedly in a spaced manner.
 

* Language mastery is the correct usage of a language's grammar to communicate the meaning you want to another party.  For these you need to have wide range of words you can command at will and use these like a native speaker so you can express yourself freely.
