Last update ruins everything about this extension. They went mainstream and started doing emote censorship, straight up not working at all, and can't use it together with bttv. That's it I uninstalled it

Cmon guys as the most popular twitch extension in the world (that accept donations) you really gotta do better than this. I haven't experienced lag like that on Twitch that since 2013, two or three PCs ago. Made everything unwatchable/laggy/broken, and after an hour of trying fix/adjust settings I was still getting MASSIVE lag spikes and freezes every 10-30 seconds unless I dropped it to 480p. Disabled until next update.

Removed until the OTT menu is removed, no one asked for this.. Gone back to BTTV for now. I want my native menu and 7TV menu to be two different manus like it was before!

New update broke some recent BTTV additions like wide emotes and upside down emotes. Also, They made us wait forever to get personal emotes, and they are now enabled so I re-subscribed only to find out personal emotes have to be enabled in 50 channels to use them. People are paying them $4/month and they can't just look at their emote and see if it's not offensive. They pretty much already have this when an emote is approved for public listing (and that's even for people that aren't paying them), so it really makes no sense. The restrictions on the personal emotes mean that they are pretty much useless and since it breaks features of other apps, I actually think it's better now to just uninstall. FFZ and BTTV also allow for 7tv emotes to be displayed. Also, despite them adding some sort of performance chat mode, chatting is actually slower. I'll hit enter and nothing will happen for a moment, and then it will finally send. I don't have this issue when I uninstall They did add some useful things, like showing first messages, and moderation information, but I'm not sure it's worth it

1. *intentionally* broke other twitch extensions to seemingly attempt to ride them off the platform. 2. having knowledge of ^ & *choosing* not to care AND *CHOOSING* do absolutely nothing about it. hard 0 (zero) star if it was an option. quick uninstall, no questions.

Why try to fix something that is not broken?

Recent update has broken everything regarding my chat. Says it can see BTTV emotes and it does everything but that. It also breaks FFZ with their chat filtering. How was this pushed out and not fact checked?

O M G! Twitch is NOT the same without 7TV. If you look at twitch chat at all, you NEED this extension. It makes the experience so much more enjoyable.

The latest update is causing lag for all users! Fix this 7tv ASAP! Please fix the code as my CPU, RAM, and GPU are not spiking when watching only Twitch.

I've been using 7TV for some time now and have had no issues. However, like many others, this latest update has been a complete mess. I can't see BTTV emotes, some really important settings to me aren't working because I have both installed (which is extremely annoying to have to either wait for these settings on 7TV, or just deal with it). But now, I can no longer see chat highlights, subscriptions and gifted subscriptions show up as an empty message, and a host of other things. I hope these things get sorted soon.

I would've given it a 5 star because I've been using it for so long but this latest big update broke many things and it's also made using it while chatting sluggish for some reason. Certain emotes/channel emotes aren't showing up for me. Too many tabs now to find the right emotes, typing emotes in chat is bugged now. Before the update everything was working fine now it's a mess. People won't accept incompetence.

The UI update completely broken this for me. Why have tabs for the emotes? Why would I, as a viewer, care, where the particular emotes come from, BTTV, FZ, or 7TV? Why split the emote search function across 5 different tabs? Also, 7TV doesn't show any 7TV emotes anymore. GG.

Taking over the main emote menu and forcing 2 extra clicks to show the twitch menu is a sin. Disabled and if you don't revert the default behavior soon it will be removed.

7TV had all the advantage. Tons of emotes with better more free moderation, more free slots, bigger sizes... BTTV was hit by a Freight Train. It was 7TVs game to lose... and they tripped on the shotgun. Whoops! Had to disable this trainreck.

The recent update to this extension completely ruins it for me. They went with the philosophy of, "we are gonna just completely replace twitch features with our own lesser (but more performant) version." Many of the vanilla twitch features are changed or missing, and any other extensions you may enjoy using in Twitch chat will no longer function correctly unless the developers conform to 7TVs overhauled chat. It feels like a needless power move. Do yourself a favor and install something like FFZ which allows you to see 7TV content without replacing the vanilla Twitch chat.

Use this if all you want is all the colors in chat at once. It looks nice and chat is smooth. Otherwise FFZ lets you use 7TV (and BTTV) emotes and has actual useful features.

i been using extentions for a long time ignore the winner that give it one star devs have been receptive to feed back let them know instead rating one star. Why dont you program extenstion and coding then complain sheesh.

The only useful feature for me was the little button on youtube to have fullscreen with chat on the side, that's gone now, I guess I will be uninstalling this then.

_ is one of my two most favourite people in _ that do amazing things. I love how there is constant improvements to twitch integration and so much more. I highly recommend this for everything. FFZ allows you to enable both BTTV and 7TV along side their own emotes. all in all, amazing product.

latest patch did nothing but reduce functionality of this extension and other extensions that are commonly used with it. user highlighting does not work anymore, emote scroll wheel is broken, and interferes with bttv, ffz, and twitch chat helper. the most embarrassing part is the broad denial of every single problem reported by the user base. own up to it, fix it

Latest update has a clear memory leak as a stream tab will get slower and slower to type in as time goes on, requiring a reload. Translated user names for non-latin alphabet names are not showing up and can't be auto-completed. Sometimes names you see in chat can not be auto-completed with the Tab key and it's not because they use a lower case L in place of an i or vice versa. Emote menu from :emote is wonky and using the up and down arrow skips past some emotes and certain emotes are showing up twice one labeled with (extension) and one not labeled at all. Having to use the mouse to select emotes makes it less convenient. Removes a very useful feature from BTTV where it would show and collect mentions in a little red overlay at the very top of the chat on a timer per message. I am not going to be reading my browser tab title the way 7TV does it when I can only see the bell icon due to the amount of tabs I have open at any given time. BTTV's feature was way more convenient. Removes a very useful right click menu to moderate option that BTTV implemented in favor of a drag and slide bars on the edge of the chat message. I don't mind this feature, but i want the right click option as well. Overall this update was a massive step backwards for me when it comes to 7TV.

all streams are buffering for me after last update, looks like it conflicts with bttv. took me a while to realize that buffering was because of 7tv

very unhappy with the 3.0 update, changes everything too much, takes a long time to load chat, chat looks a lot more compact and changing font seems to make it too big... it was really good in the previous versions, but this one's just too drastic. also i placed my 7tv button under chat like it was before the update and now whenever i open 7tv emote menu, i cant close it unless i restart my tab.

It used to be great, but now it's just decent bordering on bad. The new update is way too aggressive and overwrites pretty much all other extensions that affect the chat, with Twitch Chat Helper, BTTV, etc. loosing functionality or not working all together. The emotes are nice, but I'll have to disable it until it gets a few more patches.

Youtube theatre mode is just completely GONE now, multiple devices, multiple google accounts. Tried reinstalling and going through the onboarding again. Just gone.

It was great, before the update, now its gone.

I like some of the features and improvements the new v3 update brings but it needs a lot of bug fixes before I can re-enable it again. Edge browser user. Chat badges e.g., mod, vip, sub badges, etc doesn't show up anymore. Localized language chat ID does not show user ID anymore, e.g. Chinese characters XXXX (user id): <chat message> now only show Chinese characters XXXX: <chat message>. Hopefully bug fixes for these issues is around the corner. For now, I can't be using the extension, it's a step back in terms of chat experience and just enable 7TV from FFZ is the best temporary solution.

They force users to use a new high-performance fancy chat rendering feature that breaks all the other plugins. Then they try to replace all the BTTV and FFZ functions that are incompatible. Let people disable this new feature? - No It seems they really want bttv and ffz dead.

HUGE lag when typing in chat. Had to uninstall.

The new V3 chat speed optimization feature is cool on paper, but having a chat that slows down so you can read things is a feature in itself even if an unintended ineffiency. Please allow for it to have the new V2 vs V3 chat speed optimization to be toggled. It is one of the reasons I prefer twitch chat over youtube chat to begin with and likely for others too.

Theres a new delay when typing in chat. Ive typed out whole sentences, then watched it type it out once it was done. The emote window just doesnt close after you hit enter, so you have to hit escape, which also takes the stream out of theater mode, just to close the emote window. its annoying when you are trying to read chat, but the emote selection window is in the way and always on.

I think this is a really convinient and transparent way to improve chat on livestreams. Really really cool and really easy to use

new update has completely screwed my twitch, cant see chat badges, emotes or anything. and a good chunk of my chat is verticle. i cant even sit through a stream now because its unbearable with this update.

A lot more options than V2 but I can't see 7tv channel emotes only global and I know xQc's channel has 7tv emotes, but other than that its better than V2 with performance and more options, unfortunately I've had to download V2.3 to fix my issue I've tried everything and still 7tv channel emotes still don't show on V3 for me. If anyone has a fix please tell me.

Horrible 3.0 update with very little testing. Many things broken especially when used in combination with other popular extensions. Used to be the best one and now by far the worst one. Hopefully they will fix it soon and add missing functionality that was lost after takin over chat rendering. Until that happens this is a massive downgrade over previous version. Can't even disable chat timestamps on VODs, holy cow.

What an awful update. 1M+ users and yet you don't test a release as important as this.

Not sure what all the fuss is about with the latest major release. I've been using 7TV for 2 years, loved it and love it even more with this release! I configured every setting meticulously before and the guide when you install this new 3.0 version takes you through the settings to set them up easily. Some people are never satisfied, I guess.

The new update messed up all settings i had with bttv and ffz. the mentions from bttv dont work anymore, even with mentions in 7tv turned off, and the keyword/user messages deleting from ffz doesnt work either anymore, even tho 7tv cant even do that?? how does one extension overwrite everything another ones does? can this go back to only doing emotes pls?

Works great and nothing wrong with it but the latest update (3.0.1) makes it cover up the original "native panel" and you have to click multiple times to see it. I liked it better where it was.

This is the only emote extension you really need in 2023. I've heard people say "Oh I'm not adding it yet because it's not quite mainstream enough". Uh, tell that to the roughly 1 million users who have 7TV. I've been a 7TV sub for about 10 months, but have been using it since basically the beginning (Thanks Kattah). You guys are legends for daring to change the standard for emote extensions on Twitch. If I could give 6 stars, I absolutely would. But alas, I can't, so I have to settle for 5.

So many emotes I love it. I only wish there was a stream overlay for an emote wall that displayed the animated emotes properly.

I installed this just for the True Theater Mode for YouTube. I wish the extension was easier to find, I've been looking for something like this for a while... It works great!

I thought Twitch ruined all of the extension apps so I gave up months ago. I decided to try again and now it works perfectly. I forgot how much more immersive it is seeing a chat full of monkaW faces compared to seeing the text.

Sadly doesn't work on embedded streams :/ But else good!

It works well enough! It would be great if there was an option to autofocus the Search Emotes input when activating the 7TV toggle. An option to favorite or arrange/sort by usage would be great too!

In VODs the seventv-message-mentioned not only applies if someone mentions you, but if anyone mentions themselves, so you get a bunch of red highlighted messages that aren't for you and it's really annoying.

Not displaying all of the emotes I was posting (there was an error getting the emote data), and displaying the wrong emotes (e.g. I would post PagMan in a channel, and it would show a sub emote for a channel I'm not subscribed to) Fix your app and I will update my review.

Is their a reason I am getting random checkmarks when using this extension? It seems to be happening after I go in a raid with a streamer. I would show you what I mean but I cannot post screenshots here.

Extension is broken. No emotes from the Twitch Channels. Even the global emotes doesn't show up. Restarted my pc, cleared cookies still not fixed.

Great extension for Youtube to allow the emotes, however the theater mode is straight broken. I recommend a separate extension for that.

the extension was ok, but it's not quite compatible enough with other twitch extensions. - in order to watch twitch streams, i have to use an extension called ( alternate player for twitch.tv )-( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/alternate-player-for-twit/bhplkbgoehhhddaoolmakpocnenplmhf ), but this 7tv extension doesn't register in the chat player whatsoever. both BTTV and BBTTV, aswell as the 3 frankerfaceZ extensions all function perfectly fine within the extension chat, but the 7tv extension does not. - so if you can, please update the extension to make it more compatible with other twitch.tv extensions, i even provided you with the link to the ( alternate player for twitch.tv ) extension page in case you need to debug any errors. thank you, in advance.

The gigachad juicer warlord himself told me to get 7tv, and I couldn't resist. I was able to add this C̶h̶i̶n̶e̶s̶e̶ ̶m̶a̶l̶w̶a̶r̶e̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶B̶i̶t̶c̶o̶i̶n̶ ̶m̶i̶n̶e̶r̶ wonderful extension with one easy click! I am extremely delighted with this product, and I am absolutely not in any capacity being paid or coerced to write this review! I don't really get why it's called 7tv though, when I only have one. I am aware that updates and changes are regularly being made to the 7tv app, and I can't wait to see what other exciting features will be available in the future! Surely more is coming soon.

This extension is far better than BTTV and FFZ in every way. And I wish the top streamers used it as it completely obsoletes the need for BTTV and FFZ. I do wish it could add the default twitch emotes in its menu though. I've been able to get use to the new Twitch emote menu or the new BTTV emote menu. As a streamer, you cannot beat 250 free emote slots.

Please PLEASE give the option to disable enlarging emotes when hovering over chat... Literally unusable because of that, unironically

Sure, you can turn them off, but having animated avatars and obnoxious name effects enabled by default is awful.

EDIT: They reverted the change and now the True Theater Mode for YouTube now properly displays the video without it getting cut so changing my review to 5 stars. Now it is the best extension ever! It was a LOT better before when the "True Theater Mode" for YouTube was not zoomed in to fill the frame. It was better when there were black bars on the top and bottom so the side would not get cut off. Now I am losing what is happening on the sides of the video on my favorite streams. At least give us the option to toggle between zoomed in or not in case there are people who actually like the video zoomed in for some weird reason. If they fix this and revert the feature to back the way it was before, it would be the most perfect app and I will change my rating to a 5 star.

I just wanted to write this review to tell the devs that "True Theater Mode" is broken. It zooms in way too much and cuts a significant amount of content. So devs here is how to replicate this (now) broken feature: Go to literally any livestream or livestream VOD > press the "True Theater Mode" button > there is no other step.

For some reason, channel emotes and even global emotes don't load at all suddenly today. I run this alongside with FFZ. I tried to turn it off and run 7tv only but it didn't work. Any idea?

It was good until it started filling the black spaces at above and below of the video when in true theater mode. Now I cannot see some parts from the left and right of what I watch. Additionally, it would be good if you removed "Hide Chat" button from the true theater mode chat.

So much better than BTTV/FFZ. Almost perfect. I would rate it 4.99 stars. The only problem I have is that for the Youtube True Theatre Mode, the sides of the video are cut off to make space for the chat. If there is an option to not zoom in and to have black bars instead, I can not find it. I'm not even sure if there are settings for 7TV for Youtube, and if there are, they are hidden and not easy to access.

Doesn't work on Edge. You can't quote reply to messages in chat or send bits if you have this installed.

Great except there isn't emotes on vods

Emotes don't display properly without restarting the extension by turning it off and turning it back on, and this needs to be done every time I open a new tab. Also, breaks emotes from other extensions like BTTV. Decent but needs work.

Hello, there seems to be a bug on the 7tv theater mode on Youtube. https://imgur.com/a/G493q1D As you can see, the red progress bar is too early. While the nezuko progress bar (circle progress bar) is delayed/left behind. Would really appreciate it if it gets fixed :) so, i can watch my vtubers properly AYAYA. also, i think the chat is also kinda delayed. not sure tho.

"PepeLaugh" emote from Frankerfacez won't load, while all other emotes work normally. It's been like this for weeks. Have removed and reinstalled the extension, didn't help.

This is a really easy, one stop shop for emotes, However lately the emotes have been appearing as different emotes in chat (OMEGALUL) for example is showing as a man puking, or sometimes, the emotes aren't showing up at all and instead showing a broken image icon next to the text. Fix pls.

its a very good extension, but i suddenly cant press on the emotes from the emote list in a channel, and pressing Tab doesn't let me auto-complete 7tv emotes, idk why its happening but i'd like a fix <3

I saw a lot of people using this and thought it was amazing.. however I'm not able to click on the emotes and send it. I have to copy it and then send it... is there a solution to this?

Maybe because of everything else doing on, not having the option to take off the bolded font when someone @ another chatter is really annoying and a main reason why I tend to disable it for the majority of the time since most of the streamers i watch just use bttv. If this could be taken out via a settings option it would be great, or maybe i just haven't played around enough.

For some reason when I type something in youtube live chat, it shows up as me typing someone else's message. Not too sure if this is a common bug or if there is a conflict with other extensions as I have a few for YT live chat

Can't find any settings menu for this extension. What good is an extension to customize Twitch that's not customizable?... As-is, this extension is unusable. Edit: Finally found the settings menu - the button is top right but only shows when not in theatre mode. Not sure why it doesn't show in the regular settings menu like similar extensions. So I gave it another shot. Now it randomly stopped autocompleting emotes - now if you press tab it just deletes whatever emote you typed. Junk.

Everything about this makes chatting much more excited! However, we really need settings and it blows my mind that we don't have that.

Great idea and competition for the other extensions is good, but the implementation is poor. Forced rapid flashing profile picture for "spooktober". The UI looks like unity's default theme with all colors set to grey. Some, probably 7tv partnered streamers have (annoying) animated profile pictures. The website provides little useful information and has an irremovable "recommendation"(ad) in the middle of the screen for its YouTube services. Stripe checkout refers to 7tv's terms of subscription, but 7tv does not have such terms. Bad marketing, shady business information and premature software releases.

It's good. Need an option to disable the large emote hover pop-up, and words that are shown as "***" by Twitch auto-mod are now not showing in chat at all since installing this; there's no way to see them.

This is great on Twitch but completely break Youtube with "status_breakpoint" errors.

Good but it needs vod support an the ability to disable the omega large popup when you hover over an emote. Edit: Seems to be working for vods, either this or the ffz extension is covering it. Anyways uhm... I bought a whole bunch of shungite, rocks, do you know what shungite is? Anybody know what shungite is. No, no Suge Knight, I think hes locked up in prison. Talking shungite. Anyways, its a 2 billion year old like rock, stone that protects against frequencies and unwanted frequencies that may be traveling in the air. So thats my story. I bought a whole bunch of stuff, put them around the la casa. Little pyramids. Stuff like that.

This extension is really cool and having more emotes for your stream but there doesnt seem to be a settings for it? The message boxes are larger and when someone @s another person its bolded, which I would not like it to do. Just wondering if a settings with these sort of features would be added.

Cool extension. i've populated my channel with 160 animated emotes and some of my friends have too. the only problem is THIS NEEDS OBS, STREAMLABS, XSPLIT support. FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!! Emotes dont show on stream, emotes don't show on the emote wall for stream labs, Also, nobody knows about this app really, but if it had that support it would help it grow. This needs to be easier to use and easy implementation and this would be the best thing ever. NERDS arent the only people on Twitch anymore! Make this more accessible

It shows 7tv emotes in channels that don't have them.

Great extension for separating the BTTV, FFZ & 7TV emotes to one spot. Trying to figure out why my FFZ emotes won't show in the menu, if anyone can help with that lemme know

Conflicts with FrankerFaceZ. Removes the gaps between emotes and disables chat scroll pause for some reason. (Note: Occurs when both franker and 7tv are enabled). You should provide a settings menu in the next update.

POGCHAMPION... however.. 1.) It makes all emotes scuff up my custom ffz chat spacing. 2.) Not a fan of how hovering over emotes in chat looks and there doesn't seem to be an option to change it back to bttv/ffz style. Is there a settings menu to change that? PauseChamp... Keep up the great work though, this needs to pop off.
