Dark Mode Night Eye is a tech worker's dream come true. I work on the computer all day, and the fatigue can get insane. With this extension, I don't even have to think about hassling with settings... every page is just magically easy on the eyes. The only problem is that I'm totally spoiled now whenever I get on someone else's computer! I'm like, "GAH, you need to get Night Eye, STAT!" Great product. Thank you!!!

Not only is this a paid for extension, but they require a monthly subscription if you want it to be useful. That's terrible for such a tiny utility when there's 100% free versions out there.

Incredible tool that makes browsing the web in general a much more satisfying experience. The built in dark modes are really well done and useful, and I love never having to stare at a bright white screen again.

Incredible. Tweaking the settings lets you get dark mode on tricky websites with tables or graphics, like nutritiondata.self.com and the new Bing AI chat interface. Another dark mode app fell short on these two websites.

This is great. There are only a handful of sites I like to view at night when I cannot sleep but don't want to turn on the lamp to use the computer. It works very well and makes reading easier.

It's a good add-on that does everything I ask of it. Some sites are a little bit confusing as that site's dark mode clashes with Night Eye, but it is an easy fix to make.

Love this extension and use it across all of my instance of Chrome and Edge to add dark mode to sites and apps that don't already support it. Generally works well, on occasion the implementation of the dark mode will render some elements inoperable or invisible, but this is rare.

I love this extension, I write on the computer a lot with a writing aid but it doesn't have a dark mode and my computer dies a lot faster. This helps so much!

I love this extension, it saves my eyes and my battery everyday! I use it mainly for schoolwork and the website I use has no dark mode, so it was amazing to find something for that! On some websites the extension can make the words difficult to see, however it is simple to switch it on and off, so it's not too much of a bother for me!

This extension has gotten so much better in the last year or so, really saves my eyes each and every day! Wish it was more affordable or that it was an option built into browser of choice but until then this is the best one out there to use. FYI, it doesn't work on all sites but it's getting better regarding that aspect!

Extremely useful plugin. For some reason the desktop version of Google Sheets doesn't have dark mode, and this is one of the few plugins that actually darkens the sheets. Very useful and highly recommend.

So good! Very flexible. The different modes make it so just about every website can be adjusted to different levels of comfort in just a couple of seconds as I click a couple of buttons. Worth every penny.

When my free trial expired and I uninstalled the app, sites with built-in light/dark modes were 'locked' to light mode even when I tried to set them to dark. After I removed cookies on the websites, the built-in dark modes worked again.

I've tried a few Dark Mode web extensions, and this is the best one bar none. In general it will set dark mode per domain, but you can also fine-tune it per URL. Do note that you are required to pay to use it after the trial is over, but they do have a one-time fee so it makes it worthwhile.

After using for < 24 hours, I received a message saying "We hope that night eye proved its usefulness for the past months" and telling me my trial was up. It was not clear previously that there was a trial at all, nor had I used the software for even one month. Also, EVERY pricing level has a browser limit. Unbelievable. Old Review: 5/5 Finally a dark mode app that is default-off and switchable per-website instead of globally.

Been using Night Eye for almost a year now. The best App hands down for keeping your eyes at ease while working on the computer for long periods of time. Thanks Night Eye for saving my eyes from the blinding white screens and saving energy while doing that.

This is great if you're willing to pay for premium, but the '5 free websites' on the free plan don't work. You can try adding your sites to the list over and over again, but once you refresh the list reverts to the five default sites (Yahoo, google, etc.) and you're asked to pay for premium again.

Might some rare times make some images invisible but is pretty useful when you don't want to get blinded by all those white pages, it work every website I know so far.

While I'm giving it 5/5, I'm rounding up because it's more like a 4.5/5. Honestly, it may be the best Dar Mode extension I've used. The only reason it's not a true 5/5 is that there are still some (random) sites where the page will be too dark and text won't be visible, so it'll need to be turned off. This is not common at all, and it's likely due to the way those sites were coded. I'm not trying to fault the team that made this extension for those scenarios, but I feel a true 5/5 rating from me would be for an extension that has an answer for when those pages come up. Still, highly recommend it!

Most reliable dark mode extension for all browser extension. Comes with cheap prices for all pockets and a wooping 3 moths free trial to save your eyes. Doesn't slow websites and has a lot a features like oled mode, low blue light,website personalization , and it's interface is super intuitve.

I really struggle to read websites with black text on a white background. Having the option to default to white text on dark background AND have exclusions when I need to is frickin awesome - I love this plugin....!!

Great extension if you're looking at a computer monitor for extended periods of time. I've noticed far less strain on my eyes with every web page being on dark mode and the colors used by this extension aren't too high in contrast

NightEye is by far the BEST darkmode extension for chrome/brave/edge/iOS whatever devices. dont even think about any other one. just use this badboy. not once dissapointed in this extension !

I've been using paid version for more than 1y, currently extension crashes a few times a day as Service Worker gets inactive. Turning it off/on on a regular basis, every day gets frustrating.. If the problem isn't solved soon it'll be time to migrate to sth else (chrome ver 107.0.5304.107).

Fit my purpose extremely well..(dark mode for leetcode). Fills in the gaps for the sites that don't support automatic mode changes or dark mode all together

I got the extension out of desperation but then when I started using it, I really got surprised on how good it works even on sites like amazon. Would raccomand for sure.

Best Dark mode extension on the market. While other extensions change the theme and make webpages kind of gray, Night Eye changes just the background. 10/10 would recommend!

By far the best "forced dark mode" extension there is. I have a hard time reading black-on-white words, so forcing white-on-black helped me not only for enterteinement like social medias, but also in my education like university materials.

The night eye app is a great application. For night time browsing websites in light mode do not work great and this app is a life saver. Till we get more websites with native dimming.

I'm a pretty big fan of the app. It's not perfect, but I think a lot of that has to do with how individual sites design their pages. The "filtered" option tends to render those gentler on the eyes about 98% of the time, so I'm not knocking off stars for that. As someone who gets light-sensitive headaches, the app has been a godsend.

Great extension, but could use a bit of bug testing on websites like google slides.

Great extension that perfectly solved my problem of being blinded while using the Bing search engine. I'd rather be able to add an effect that doesn't enable the feature on some elements.

pretty cool app i use it all the time, although it's sort of annoying how when shopping and you press the color filter it turns some of the colors wonky but there's no getting around that. great extension tho love it and i love that they give u three months for free and an extra if u write a review!! boost the extension + get a free month? i don't see why not!

finally don't need to burn my eyes cuz of light mode websites, especially since alot of the times I stay up studying or using the internet for school, this helps me not get retina cancer from light mode websites

I use night eye for tons of sites. There are a few where it it makes the site slightly hard to use and I have to turn it off/on. But for the vast majority of sites its great, google apps. outlook webmail, tons of internal websites at work all work really well.

I use paid version but recently noticed that extensions stops working several times a day. I need to go to extensions settings and turn it off/on each time which is getting frustrating.. Any solution to that issue? I'm close to replace it by anything else..

I've tried multiple Dark Mode extensions and this one is the best one out of them all! Some make certain text or images on websites hard to see/read but Night Eye doesn't mess up any websites at all!!

One of the best dark mode extensions I have used. I have tried like 5-6 of them. It just knows what need to be black and doesn't mess with the other colors too much.

The web store page doesn't even turn black--still bright white. Restarted the browser, made sure extension was switched on... still nothing. If it doesn't work here, how is it working elsewhere?

Stopped working after a while unless I pay for the pro version, very disappointing. I haven't tested it for a long time but I have downloaded the Lunar Reader extension instead, which I recommend you do as well.

I'm always using the dark theme option on every site/app when they have the option. And this add-on is a life saver if you are a fan of dark modes. There are still many sites that doesn't support dark themes and this add-on helps a lot. Easy to use and efficient, highly recommended!

Dark Mode - Night Eye is perfect for me. I perfer dark webpages and dark google apps. This is the only app I've found that works on the vast majority of websites. I've only found 1 webpage (sweetwater.com) that had some issues (fingernail pics don't show up). But Dark Mode thought of that; its easy to pin the extension to your toolbar and disable at will. After ending my trial period, I cannot live without this app. I'd love to find a free extension that works, but I haven't found any. Best dark / black out extension I've found and the only one that works properly. 5 starts easily.

This dark mode extension is simply the best. I have tried a few and they were very clunky and some sites wouldn't load properly. Last year I was diagnosed with an eye problem which was somewhat caused by eye strain. About a month after I started using dark mode on things my problem with my vision went away. To put it simply, I work too dang much on the computer as a technical website advisor, and doing about 1/2 to 2/3 of my activities online in dark mode has helped a lot. I only found the Night Eye extension a few months ago and the dark mode experience is just incredible compared to other extensions. Very impressed :-)

Like the idea, but it somehow sends my CPU load through the roof as soon as it's turned on. Definitely not another app as the CPU usage plummets as soon as the extension is turned off too. I'm running a brand new Mac Studio with M1 max and 32GB Ram so this shouldn't be happening. Anyone else had this problem?

Leaps and bounds better than any other dark mode extension. Work from home software engineer and I would only use this. Only extension I've seen remotely work on AWS console, and I have yet to have any real problem with a single site. Definitely I must have.
