It worked until today. Youtube must have made changes.

Only able to give it two stars as when the plugin is enabled and I click the home/subscriptions tab it will randomly open one of the videos on that page and it's becoming increasingly annoying.

I've been wanting to get rid of youtube shorts for so long because they're clogging up my feed and my subscription panel and I hate the youtube shorts. this has made youtube so much better for me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your extension blocks 100% of YouTube shorts. I can now enjoy using YouTube again. Why YouTube decided to ruin their own product with these shorts is a mystery. They owe you one billion dollars for fixing their mistake :)

I really dislike schizophrenic design. Microsoft has been engaging in it with Windows for years where they've attempted to shovel bad new user interfaces onto users, whilst leaving the existing user interface in place in parallel, leading to lots of annoying conflicts between the two designs. Google has now done the same for Youtube with Shorts. In the most plain terms, watching a repeating small frame short video, in a dumbed down interface, has no value whatsoever to me the way I consume Youtube on a laptop. It's like a sick joke, no exaggeration. Yet, Youtube sees it fit to beg me to watch the useless Shorts and constantly occupies valuable screen space to do that. Thankfully, this plugin does what's advertised and surgically removes Shorts from Youtube. Magic!

YouTube Shorts are complete garbage. I am beyond happy to no longer see this garbage polluting my computer screen when I browse YouTube.

Thank you so much for this! I've never installed tik tok for a reason....I absolutely hate vertical videos. Especially the ones that have a resized horizontal video shoehorned into them, which seems to be 50% of these garbage "shorts" that youtube seems intent on shoving down our throats.

Excellent. Every shorts-based UI element can be toggled individually, so you could block them completely or you could, for example, still show them in their own tab but remove them from your subscriptions feed.

The single most important extension behind sponsorblock imo. Sometimes it takes just a second to hide them all and I am reminded of the sheer amount of shorts this extension shields me from.

Takes a restart or two to go into effect, but it does what's asked of it: banishes all presence of the Tiktok knockoff—oh sorry, I mean the YT shorts feature. Wouldn't it be great if YT had a built-in feature to opt out of shorts? Wait, no, that would mean less profit for one of the largest & richest monopolies in the world.

Great idea, but the app is not blocking shorts on subscriptions. Looking forward to the fix.

Installed on 2/14/2023 and this version doesn't hide the SHORTS from my Subscription feed. Like most people, I HATE SHORTS. Never look at them, nothing to be learned, gained, or even funny in these burps. Shorts are for very lazy people who want YouTube fame and income without doing ANY work.

After Fed 2023 update, extension does not longer block the shorts appearing in my subscription feed. It was working just fine the day before. I've restarted the browser and still doesn't work. Might need a hot fix because it isn't fully working correctly anymore. Check your code bro, might've missed a hyphen or gotten rid of a line you shouldn't have. Will happily give 5 stars once it's fixed again. Good luck bro!

My subscriptions have been just flooded with shorts I don't really care about recently, so I'm pretty happy to have found this! It worked immediately, and youtube runs normally with it, no lag or anything.

Works great, I like the different options given. It would be nice to also have an option to prevent it from automatically reloading all youtube tabs. I have a lot of tabs open, and when there is a change (e.g. it updates), then all my tabs reload and start playing videos.

It removed all shorts. Plain and simple. The hero we needed.

Actually removed them, not just changing them to reg videos. Even removed them from search results, which is where they have been driving me crazy. Creators I blocked using another extension started appearing again under shorts.

I had to click the "power" button on and off on the extention bar for it to work, but I am so thankful for this! I don't want to watch shorts on Youtube and it was really ruining my subscriptions feed.

Doesn't seem to work :( After installing, enabling and force-refreshing I still see shorts show up in my subscriptions tab. I mainly wanted this to clean up my subscription tab and this isn't doing the trick sadly. I'll revise my review if this gets fixed.
