If you work a lot in chrome with many tabs open Workona is the best tool for you! As a PM I definitely have my opinions of how to tweak things here and there, but over all it's an amazing product, that helps you organize your work. It really saved me tons of time and headache... Thank you team Workona! ❤️

I have used this for a few months. The first sign of trouble was immediately after installing Workona when it immediately destroyed ALL my tab groups (I had many). Ok, so I added the Tab Groups Helper and rebuilt my tab groups and went on with life using Workona. After learning a few more of it's eccentricities it seemed OK but didn't really add much. I had 3 profiles that were always in use but this isn't really different than using basic Chrome with "start where I left off" enabled. Then today Workona logged me out. When I logged back in it closed MANY of my tabs in various groups. I lost months of tabs organized by project. I tried "Reopen closed tabs" and got about 20 tabs back but that seemed to be the entirety of the closed tabs restore ability. I had to again rebuild my tab groups. Workona never solved a problem I had, instead it created problems for me.

It's been awesome until a few days ago when I got forced message to upgrade to pro saying "Unlimited sections blah blah.." in order to save to a different resource section then the previous section that I last saved a link to. FYI I was not even trying to create a new section but just wanted to choose a section that was already there.. So I guess this is a good bye. :)

The ability to use this across different browsers rather than bookmarking, exporting and importing bookmarks is really useful

As someone with ADHD, this extension helps me a TON with organizing my browser space for work, studies, and even just when I'm mindlessly scrolling through social media and wanna save something for later. The extension closed my saved TABs without getting my consent. I have to spend a lot of time to restore my saved TABS. Absolutely pirate entension.

You only get 5 free tab groups (workspaces) ... if you want more, you have to pay $8 per month. I was excited to use this, and got it all set up, and then hit the pay wall. It would have been nice to know this up-front. :[

From the very beginning of tabbed browsers, and extensions and modifications for browsers, I have always been searching for a tab manager with functions like this. there are still a lot of items that I would like to add, but this is good enough to get 5 stars from me.

It's great to have easy access to the tabs I frequently use, and the ability to write notes and plan activities while I'm using my web browser.

Does put all the necessary things together for a quick overview.

Gets the job done

Finally an extension that goes beyond the simple tab management while not trying to do too much or being too esoteric. Workona has a healthy _workspace_ concept, which makes sense to my workflow, it's visually appealing, and does not imply a steep learning curve.

Loving this extension so far! I was looking for an extension that can save a group of tabs, so that I can close it and get back to it. This does that, but also so much more! It has so many features that I didn't even know I wanted. I especially love the Add a Resource feature as it basically acts as a bookmark that is specifically associated to the workspace you're on.

This is an amazing tool that really helps me organise and group my virtual workspace into smaller blocks that makes working much easier and also makes my workspace easier to navigate. I highly recommend it!

The only tab manager that has effectively solved my pain of managing tabs on multiple devices.

As someone who suffers from ADHD, I can say this has been a life changer to me. Most of the times I would keep a gazillion tabs opened in order "to track" things or just to get some inspiration, but this practice just ended up with my computer running super slow sometimes. I tried several different tab managers but no one seemed to be able to structure my tabs as much as I needed... until I discovered Workona and I have never looked back since!

Its easy to use and works well for having separate projects going at once. I use it for University and its really helpful for having everything I need when I need it. Pretty cool

Honestly don't understand why people like this app. It's extremely clunky, slow, lacks features, frequently mixes up tabs between folders (surely the one thing a tab organiser shouldn't do) and worst of all has deleted whole groups of my tabs. As someone who uses the internet heavily in my research, this app has been absolutely nothing but a ball ache, wasting much more time that it has saved. Typical Silicon Valley nonsense, pure hype with no substance, no thought behind the service. I can only assume the good reviews are people who haven't actually used the thing!

Convenient and very easy to use. Being able to separate my (many) tabs into groups is a lifesaver. The ability to move the tabs into different workspaces is also great. Only using the free version but having more than 5 workspaces in the paid sounds very appealing.

I was so stressed about keeping track of all the information needed in Chrome tabs while my system resources would be gobbled up. When I would mention to my colleagues that I typically had several hundred tabs open (I am a T-shaped/systems thinker so one thing leads to another...), they would gasp and I discovered that no one had any ideas to help me. So I realized that I had to find a solution on my own. I tried the tab-grouping but that did not help my use of system resources. I tried tab management extensions but they didn't help me organize my tabs. When I discovered Workona I found that both of my issues/problems/use cases were addressed. I rapidly ran out of the five free workspaces and realized I needed the full paid version for both personal and professional uses. I have never looked back since!

I was excited about this one, and started organizing my life into it, but turns out it only lets you have 5 projects sorted before they want $7/mo... nonsense.

Even with the limited free version, Workona has been very. convenient throughout my work and school tabs. It makes it quite easy to stay organized and navigate many windows and tabs quickly. Pretty dope!

Great tool. It takes a little time to get used to if you like having multiple windows open as oposed to having only one. But it helps to keep track of your activity and it is easier to navigate your browsing history

Most convenient tab managing extension

Loved using Safari's tab groups, but had to switch to Chrome because of my job. This is by far the best alternative I've found, and I love the additional functionality of being able to take notes and save resources.

Good answer to tab hell!

Reliable, efficient, and unobtrusive, Workona is a boon for managing ongoing online tasks, particularly in a hotdesking environment. One of my absolute favourite apps!

Organizing my tabs, my thoughts (notes) and my Google Shared Drive centered around my projects is brilliant! I can still keep my "tab madness" but they're now organized and I'm able to revisit them quickly. An added bonus is the feeling of starting over or a renewed sense of focus when I switch workspaces. While I use this for work, getting a team involved is more difficult from an organization stand point, which does not negate the benefits I get from the tool, it's just to say that your team doesn't need to be hooked up to it to allow for you to receive a benefit.

This is just a massive game changer for me. It's improved my productivity more than any other tech product I've used in the last ten years. I'm prone to opening up tabs all day and just creating a mess. This has allowed me to keep the various parts of my life organised. It's difficult to capture how much more useful this is than the old bookmark system. It's not often I take the time to leave reviews, but this deserves praise (and thanks).

This is exactly what I needed to keep my world in order for work. I handle multiple projects at my job and this allows me to switch between the projects with just 2 clicks. I hate have a ton of tabs open and then going on the hunt to find the tab I need. Would highly recommend!

LOVE IT! Honestly has been so useful working in sales. My team saw me switching from workspace to workspace finding the tabs I want in seconds and started asking questions. Have recommended to at least a dozen people now. You should be paying me :P Also provided some feedback some time ago and got a response from the team in a day and I see that feedback is now actioned on.

Fantastic extension - to be able to segment the relevant business units that I work on, with the relevant web pages and resources where they need to be, rather than having loads of tabs open that I don't need and end up having to sift through them to find the on I am after, has been a godsend! I have been using this for a while, but since the v3 manifest update, it cause more trouble than solves. Just today, it crashed 10 times, duplicate tabs, removing from saved collection to unsaved ones, making the hidden tabs a mess with a 1000+ tabs and wasting the user times with the constant problems it has. I get it that the service workers works differently, but not sure why such a bad quality v3 has been published, when the v2 could live without updates till jun..

I still feel I am not using it to the fullest. It is a change of mindset. Since I am using Workona, I feel I see more clearly how distracted I become by clicking on one link, then another...until my workspace has nothing to do with the title anymore. In other words, it helps me be more aware of how intentional I am willing to become when I work on my computer.

This web extention has kept me very organised and makes things so easy to access. It is a real game changer when you have a lot of things to manage. Couldn't reccomend it enough!

Its fantastic. In fact it is so good that I would whole heartedly upgrade to the premium version, but subscription based payments for a chrome extension is way over the top. It also has a huge sticker shock factor.

Have question- installing shows info that pressing ; tab will make it active or something. It doesnt work. Or is it mistake?

Since last few days, this applications keeps closing tabs and reloads older workspace data ... making the experience of using a browser a mess.... issues needs to be resolved or atleast a way to pause this needs to be added.

One of the best extensions I stumbled upon this year... Actually the best one now that I think back. It really transformed my writing workspace. the fact that I could instantly create collections in such an amazingly simple user interface was like... "Where have you been all my life." The only issue I've had so far is that last 2 week workona just stopped working. it didn't load... the extension and even the website. I kept wondering if something had happened with my browser but I tried other browsers and it just wasn't working. I tried finding alternative tab organizers and none of them could meet up with workona. Suddenly, this week it began working again. I still don't know what caused this blackout. It really destabilized my workflow. I would hate to see such a thing happen again. If it does, I won't be as 5-starry as I am now. All round great extension though.

It is a great tool for organizing the work, it is a big help when you need to close the windows and continue with the same tabs next day. Ideal for studying and working.

Judging by the material on the Workona website, I gather that it is primarily aimed at teams of collaborating workers who "work-on-a" project. Coordinating all the pieces of a project, even a small one, can be difficult, and you need more than folders and files with standardized names on a shared drive. Most files will be viewed, perhaps edited, in a browser, so you need to bring some order to the chaos of tabs. By organizing tabs into "workspaces," and sharing those, team collaboration is easy and natural, because it's based in in the browser. But Workona is also really useful for individuals, too. At home, I spend much of my time online, and there are activities that are fairly constant, like reading various news sources, keeping relevant documentation on hand for Apple and Google, keeping YouTube files on hand for piano pieces that I'm working on (grouped by composer), working on a large collection of photos, keeping a list of various movies and TV shows I want to watch with links to their streaming pages (Netflix, HBOmax, etc.), a collection of internet radio stations that I like to listen to, and more. I have short-term projects, too. For example, I'm buying a PC for a friend, and it didn't take long before I had amassed a collection of files containing the descriptions of the various models, model comparisons, information about warranties, my own spreadsheet of costs, and so on. At the moment, all of this takes about 200 tabs. I obviously can't put them all in one window. I could keep a collection of windows, one per "project," but then mixing many browser windows with app windows becomes chaotic. Instead, I've organized my work into about 20 workspaces, and I can see the list all the time. I have a few pinned tabs (e.g., email, calendar) that are always available. I've used other tab-managers, but they were always flaky and/or feature-poor. Workona is a solid product, and it shows. If you've ever lost track of your tab setup and just wish you could go back to a previous configuration, Workona has that feature built in, and it's easy to use. Knowing that it's keeping a history frees me from worrying about simple errors or experiments that don't pan out. Last but not least, I've gotten rapid, friendly, and helpful responses from Workona's Tech Support. I consider Workona to be one of the most important software components on my computer, and I highly recommend it.

I research people's genealogy with a various of websites and pages to gather information. This helps keep me organized for the people I'm working with. I can close my pages and someone else can open my google account and they have access to what I was just working on. That person can create notes and share It keeps everything together and managable. I also have loved using the note area and the to-do list with due dates. There's also a resource area where you can use frequently used pages or files from your computer. You can even create google-used accessories with the system. It's awesome

Kind of pricy, but 100% worth it for managing projects with a tab manager, bookmarks replacement, and notes app. I have ADHD, and I've spent countless hours trying every app and system out there to get organized. This is the first to actually work with my brain, and it was such a game-changer! 1. I make a "workspace" for each project (usually on the fly as needed) and move relevant tabs into it. All other tabs (except ones I keep pinned, like my calendar) get closed and moved into the background so I can focus on just tabs I need. 2. Critically, each "workspace" combines relevant tabs with notes and bookmarks. You can label them in groups and arrange them side-by-side to keep most things in view, which is hugely important for my lack of object permanence. I open a project, and all my tabs, notes, and bookmarks are right there; no more complex tagging or folder systems. (I do wish you could close the left sidebar and see all resources, tabs, notes, and tasks on one screen without having to toggle. But seeing two out of the four is still really helpful.) 3. If you get distracted while working, ("I was just checking email; why am I suddenly drafting a novel??") it's really flexible and user-friendly to just click-and-drag tabs, notes, etc. to another workspace. 4. You can arrange workspaces in labeled, collapsible categories, and can archive old workspaces to get them out of your way without deleting them. 5. There are even more features I don't even use (workspace templates, to do lists, search through integrated services, creating Google docs/templates from inside Workona, teams). 6. It's not a replacement for something like Asana or Trello, doesn't really integrate with Microsoft products, no calendar function, and no Android app at the moment.

This is one of those 'changed my life' extensions you hear about but can never find. Workona has been the best decision I've made to keep me organized and productive. I was an early adopter and have been using Workona since it started. It has only gotten better and has become an integral cog in our company workflow.

Searching for a tab - with a keyboard shortcut - (you can configure and it can be same as emacs/vim) is very useful.

Works great and helps a lot with my college work. However, it could use a built in dark mode as a future update and most likely I'll never buy the pro version unless they have a one time payment option. Just throwing that idea out there.

I've been using this extension for a while before I wrote a review because I wanted to make sure I put it through it's paces before I said anything about it. This extension is amazing! I was very worried that I would lose data on crashes and the like, but it gives you a very easy restore button to fix everything before the crash. This extension has saved me so much time, it's amazing. I can keep track of everything and keep it all organized. Great tool!

Beware. Back up all your important data before using this extension or lose everything because of it. Extremely disappointed by this extension as I had a lot of hope for it. I spent some considerable time saving a lot of tabs under a particular subject and created a workspace. When I opened the workspace, only two appeared. All the others had mysteriously vanished. Considering the time I spent saving 5 workspaces, each containing a lots of tabs, I fear I have lost many of them now because this unreliable and unsafe extension failed to do its job. Use at your own risk. UPDATE I just watched a YouTube tutorial on Workona. There were several problems with this Workona video: The video indicates that you can `split screen between tabs and resources'. Not so. You cannot split screen between Workspaces and Resources in Workona. The Free version does NOT give you `10' workspaces. It only gives you "5 workspaces", which is not practical as an apparent production tool. Workona also claim that there is a rewind button after restore previous tabs. There is NO rewind button. It appears Workona is not all that I had hoped. UPDATE 2 Workona is a major nuisance and is nothing more than a browser hijacker that you just cannot shut down. Even if you `unpin' the damn thing, it still comes back and messes up all your tabs, so that you have to constantly re-organise them repeatedly.

All of my workspaces just disappeared! I've lost a lot of saved notes and resources! App is not reliable, DO NOT TRUST IT! Update: My workspaces have reappeared, however, it is still extremely concerning that this could happen.

I don't have anything bad to say about it, its good as a person who likes to stay organized its a life saver and an time saver. I will highly recommend it to anyone who is a student cause having to deal with like 60 different tabs in a single frame is a nightmare so yea.

I have been using the Workona Tab manager extension for my laptop for about two months now, and It saved me so much time when it comes to organization! I'm a full-time student (for now) and it's great to organize different classes for different topics: Science, and even a daily folder where I have google calendar and my email ready for me in the morning! I cannot express the gratitude I gave for this extension except thank you to the founders and developers of this extension. Has to be my favourite extension, even above Grammarly. (Even though Grammarly helped me write this review.)

Does not work properly. Constant lag when opening and navigating, its like the only webpage Ive seen lag on my internet. Keep getting the message "getting workspaces ready for you" but nothing happens after it finishes. Creating workspaces does not work (nothing happens at all upon pressing create), in another menu it says I've reached the free limit of 5 workspaces, but I literally have 0 workspaces? I also have an issue with the UI design itself. I dont see the point in "workspaces", why not just have it be called tab groups and then place a simple button next to open tab groups that says "save" or whatever, instead of having extra menus and terms to learn and navigate through?

I hardly ever leave reviews but this extension has done wonders for my habit of leaving 100s of tabs open 'for later' . Cleans up my desktop and boosts my productivity

Erased all my Chrome Tab Groups. (even with the Workona Tab Group extension) There are some nice features. I wish the product worked. But if it doesn't interface with Chrome's excellent, simple, visually clear tab groups it's already a hard sell. I could live with it ignoring them. But it actually removed them. (Which part of workona -- the suspender, the tab manager, other -- who can say?!). So it has to go. I hope someone figures out what Workona was trying to do because it's an excellent idea.

Very useful! It lets me organize my tabs for personal use, work, classes, and projects so I don't get overwhelmed by the billion tabs I always have open at once. It also makes my life less overwhelming as a grad student, especially knowing I won't lose all my tabs and work if my laptop dies (which it does frequently)

First time I'm reviewing a chrome extension. I'm in love with this tool! Perfect bookmarking and tab manager for me. I hope this tool stay the same for long, it's already perfect.

This is the best organizer i've used. I used to use a platform called "Shift" but that platform required updates everyday and you would loose all of your work. It rendered that program rather useless. Workona however is the solution that I needed. Incredibly simplistic yet effective. I'll be telling all of my friends about this extension.

I am a missionary that works in the record department of my church and I'm on-line 4-6 hours per day. Keeping as much of my hard drive free to run these programs is essential for a smooth day. I was able to create a different workspace for work and for play and it's absolutely perfect for my needs. I love that I can keep notes and resources on the space, also. I have been showing this extension to the other missionaries I work with. We've been working on the 1950 U.S. Federal Census and also past censuses and there are many other sites that we bookmark to use while doing our work. AMAZING!!!!

I rarely leave reviews but Workona deserves it. Highly UX and UI friendly and clearly increases loading time and reduces CPU strain. Perfect.

Wow! I tried many tools that pretent to tackle this seemingly simple issue: they don't. You do. Really well thought out. Not to complex (a lot of tools do this) and not to simple (another trap). And very well made (none of them do this). I especially love the shortcuts!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

Workona is really useful for me. It helps better to stay productive.

Workona is great, used it for quite some time and even paid for it, but I hate the fact that it kind of takes over the natural functionality of chrome's tabs and chrom's new window management. It gets in my way, sort of. When I open a new window, sometimes the other one just closes, and I end up having to reopen everything. Annoying. I also use the TabBrew, simple and effective automatic grouping by domain. It doesn't get in my way. It integrates nicely with Chrome's tab groups and doesn't try to do too much which could end up pushing people away (because using chrome could, of course, be enhanced by extensions but should still remain natural and intuitive)

It is the most helpful app/extension I have ever used. Especially as a college student it's important to create an organized work flow, and Workona makes this very simple and it's easy to use. 100% would recommend any day!

Workona went haywire on my first day. I made my folders, organized some things, went ok. But I noticed every time I select a tab out of one of my folders it would just close my previous sessions and open a new one with the stuff in the folder. I didn't realize this and all my stuff in the first tab is just gone. Then no idea why, I ctrl+tab a lot to get around my tabs but maybe that's a shortcut in Workona or something? Everytime I did that it would just close the session and restart a new one. Then it just started closing the session repeatedly every time I opened Chrome. I had to remove the addon to even do any webbrowsing anymore.... so now all my tabs are gone... so yay. Maybe this was the lesson I had to learn all along. I don't need all these tabs....I am a little more free.

A great tool to help with tab and resource management. It's intuitive, easy to navigate, and well thought out in its design and functionality. It's genuinely a joy to use every single day. I cannot recommend this product enough!

If you are looking for a task manager to keep you focused and enable you to switch between multiple desktops then this is the add on for you. I love using this throughout my workday. This also works even better paired with Workona tasks. Thank you!

Come for Tab Management, Say for Notes, Tasks & Awesome Integrations I hated Vivaldi's Tab Management so was looking for a similar experience of tab groups in Safari or Chrome. Then I found Workona! + My tab group have context so notes right there is the group is a game changer for me + I make a lot of highlights while reading, again notes helps me here + TODO lists is also very helpful in the same context + Google Drive integration is just icing on the cake!

Truly Truly phenomenal app! UI is seamless and neat! Minimal yet powerful and packing a lot of features. Allows for me to create/organize task, save tabs/resources, and write notes all in one place - efficiency at its finest!

I think I would have loved this extension and how it works with the workona todo lists, but it messed with my windows and tabs, I'm fuming right now. Should have made a copy of my windows with session buddy before trying this, but I didn't and I paid the price. Now I can't even tell what tabs are supposed to go where, cuz I had several windows and over 120 tabs open. Also apparently it doesn't deal with pinned tabs well, it doesn't list them in the workona management, and it made a super random collection of some my pinned tabs. Also made another window with a random collection of 50ish tabs, and minimized that window. I don't know anymore, I installed this in hopes that it will help me organize tabs but it messed them and made me even more confused.

Loved it

There are many tools that claim to organize your tabs. The problem is that they don't solve the root problem, how can you organize your thinking and increase your overall productivity. While Workona is technically a brower extension, I believe it belongs more in the category of productivity tools. Businesses and teams should consider adopting it across the board.
