Doesn't record as others have said.
Do not waste you time to downlaod this extension it is not working at all
*... .
Download of a GIF won't start, although the button is greyed out and seams to indicate, that the extension is busy doing something.
It doesn't work. Waste of time
Just doesn't work.
perfect. it does work, anyone else saying it doesnt is just wrong.
It takes 3 MINUTES to save a single gif at low quality, at full screen. That's why nothing happens.
did not work
Does not work on Chrome 59
USELESS.
very buggy. only seams to work once then never again. Also gif does not always download.
Doesn't work. Why is it in the store?
I clicked it once. Nothing seemed to happen. Nothing downloaded. Now it is just a grayed out icon sitting in my browser that doesn't do anything. Really confusing why it is even allowed to exist on the Chrome Web Store.
The description says the .gif should be downloaded automatically once it's done capturing. This does not happen. There are not even any controls for starting and stopping the capture; it just appears to be recording for two seconds and then stops.
I'm with everyone else here. Please remove it from the Store.
does not work
Does not work
Would be great if it worked! Looked like it recorded but didn't download gif. Oh well!
It is downloading gif file but with only one frame Upate it please
I really love this extension in theory, but it simply doesn't work. Well, it does, but only on the first try unfortunately. Hoping they can fix this, would REALLY come in handy!
After further testing i discovered that if you use the "Cancel the limitation" under each of the options then you can increase the fps, the time up to 30 sec and the size. I still would like to see way to manage the screenshots. Issue: after one recording is complete the icon goes grey and i can no longer capture again. Previous: I like but im not sure where its saving the file or when it will download. Where is it. Love the idea, much like Live photos by Apple... but as a screen shot this is a very powerful tool. I would like to see greater flexibility to this tool. Longer capture, higher FPS, and more tools that help your manage your captures.
Does not work
it doesn't work
Absolute crap. Does not work, intermittent and when it does the image is so pixeles you can barely tell what it is
Worked beautifully the very first time I tried it, and five minutes later refuses to record. Would be an awesome extension if it continued to function! Removing from Chrome until extension is functional.
don't work on linux
Too limited - 2 seconds is not enough and after using it once I have to close the browser for the button to become 'clickable' again
Works well and does what I need - 5 secs clip and edit in Gimp and I had my animated gif in under 1 min
Seems to record, but does not download the capture.
Didn't work. Didn't download the GIF.
Doesn't actually download anything when it's finished.
Works great, restart your browser after installing!
Unfinished product. It gets disconnected from its settings at some point - I set it to caputure 5 seconds, and it keeps rolling for more than 15, and doesn't provide any way to stop it. Then it takes another few minutes to finish processing, during which time the CPU and memory go up drastically, and sometimes doesn't even provide the results at all.
Didn't seem to save anything on Chromebook.
This is exactly what I was looking for.
Works after Chrome relaunch! So happy! My system: Ubuntu 14.04, Chrome 43.
No recording happening. Version 42.0.2311.135 m on Windows 7
Needs a few more features, like *pause*, but it's otherwise fantastic!
I dont like how you cant save the gif but other than dat I LIKED IT ALOT
i realy like anamating so i got this
Can confirm, does not work. The description says the .gif should be downloaded automatically once it's done capturing. This does not happen. There are not even any controls for starting and stopping the capture; it just appears to be recording for two seconds and then stops.
Doesn't work properly.
Needs work: 1) Rarely created a GIF. It would work sometimes, but about half the time would not download any file after rendering. (This is on a Macbook Air running Yosemite). 2) It needs an option to delay the start of the recording. When recording the entire desktop it is difficult to switch to the application you want before recording begins. 3) I would also add a starrt / stop button. As it is, you must set the length of recording time and hope you get done before the recording stops.
Does what it says on the tin. Would be good if it could capture a portion of the screen. For people that are having an issue of it not downloading, close and open your browser, then try again.
Uh I got it, I record, HOW THE HECK DO I GET MY GIF???
Not working. Recording stops - nothing happens
I loved it!
Where does it download the file to?
Great app. Works for me.
This is awesome :D
Doesn't work in ubuntu 14
Just before I wanted to rate 2★ and remove it, it WORKED! I tried like more than 15 time, but it didn't download, then somehow it fixed itself... Great extension!
Doesnt work atm fix dl file
This extension is fantastic! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it seems to have trouble capturing some content directly from windows/tabs. However, if you just have it capture the entire Desktop everything works fine! It's a perfect cross-platform extension, so you can make a gif of anything. I will be keeping this for sure. Edit: I really wish it had a pause and cancel function...
Doesn't download the GIF after converting, not sure why. :/
This is a great concept, But it seems not to work at all.
This is an extension I have been waiting for! I can now make Gifs from screen captures on a chromebook. Works great. I just need it to let me capture a portion of the screen/tab rather than the whole thing. As soon as they have that established, it will be the killer Gif app.
