While "basic" math is handled well, certain queries are unworkable. It handles unit conversions for length pretty easily but i can't figure out for the life of me how to do temps! it may be a mere skill issue on my part but it's only useful for quick complicated math if you don't have a calc next to you irl.

This extension give an example of: * 56 dollars in euros * 4 + 0xAF + 0o71 + 0b10 in hex * However, the example fails to return a result. The same happens with other examples. I have remove this extension.

jeez why make this so confusing to use

A good calculator, but the only huge negative is the inability to set a keyboard shortcut for quick enabling instead of clicking the icon every time. They refer to a page with "ALT+C" as a shortcut but the website doesn't work/exist.

Wrong results by applying a bad operation priority. Try this: (10+10)/2/5 result provided is 50 but it should be 2.

I guess it may no longer be getting updates, but it's great for what it does: provide a conveniently-located calculator that keeps a streaming record of previous calculations. It can stay in place or pop out if needed; it's just the right little thing for lots of jobs!

It was good but for some reason, the calculation becomes so inaccurate. Just try 5000000/32/32/365 and see what you get. If it can't get the right number for that, you fail as a calculator.

It helps me every day, definitely, I love it.

It was a copy...but I wonder if they could add like more additional features like inequalities and like more stuff and maybe more like better looking, the thing looks really old and they should make it look better and have more options and different languages.

currency conversions don't work anymore, and the creator hasn't updated this in years.

Got some math wrong. 5/5/5/5 gave me 1. Which is wrong.

It didn't look or react like a calculator. Don't get it and I'm not the dense. LOL!

Even though the calculator was really good in calculating short equations and also some units, when I had typed negatives like -5--3, it automatically puts up an "@" in front of the equation and what ends up happening is: @-5--3 = (undefined)-5--3 = undefined It is really annoying when this keeps popping up, please fix this error asap.

IT works pretty well from some of the other calculators, some of the features don't work or probably were removed but it works for me and can be useable!

I use this all the time. I see a lot of negative reviews, but for what i use for...it simply works. I like that it keeps a log of the previous calculations and memory of what I typed in (just in case i close it on accident!)

It sucks cause you really need to type "+" to plus or something.

OK simple view BUT no support for comma is decimal-sign :-( In europe the numeric keyborad use comma as decimal-sign (and dot as thousand-seperator). Make this working and it will get a 5 stars for just doing its job :-)

Just do not like the way it works does not have numbers on the face to just click on.

Could you please add an option for digit grouping? So that 1000000 looks like 1,000,000 It gets really hard telling the difference when you use large numbers. Thank you.

I used to absolutely love this app but it no longer seems to work for anything but the most basic calculations. I used it a lot for conversions (e.g. ounces to grams), but now if I type in a conversion calculation it just doesn't do anything at all. It still does simple mathematical calculations, but not all of the other things it used to be able to do (which still work perfectly well via Google search). It's a shame because it used to be so handy!

Used to be a 5-star app, but lately is unusable... but I'm not going to drop it to 1 star just because I'M having issues. Regardless, its total loss of functionality sadly is forcing me to remove it from Chrome. Will try again in the future with hope that fixes occur.

My go to calc for basic stuff

Wish it still being maintained and updated. It has lost some function these days. But still it's the best among those others alike.

I am looking for a calculator that I can 'pin' open, so it doesn't disappear when I click on my browser or another program I have open. Any suggestions?

Great simple calculator with a few good functions. Only issue is no virtual number key pad. Need to use the buttons at top of laptop, which could get annoying if doing more than simple stuff.

was great, but stop working, fail to calculate simple things like (1000+1000)/100/10/2 will give results of 100. if you want this kind of calculator but one that works, install cloudy calculator 2

It doesn't add anything you can't already get from just typing into the search bar, or using the Wolfram Alpha extension.

Used to be pretty good, but stopped handling many common types of conversions (such as currency, temperature) over the past year or so. Author appears to no longer be updating it. Looking for something better to replace it now.

This calculator give incorrect results for simple expressions. Try log2(10) or 2 + (5 - 1). Using chromey calculator instead of a calculator for something that matters can be disastrous.

Very useful! Love it! But it is a shame that some of its features have stopped working over the last year or so. But what it still does, it does great!

Cloudy Calculator is very useful for every day work

Not only is Cloudy Calculator a convenient and easy to use calculator, it is also ENORMOUSLY USEFUL for multiplying and converting units! I frequently do my engineering homework with Cloudy Calculator, because I can tell it something like: 60 watts * 1 year * 0.02 dollars / 1 kW*hour and it will automatically math out all the units! In the above example, it would spit out an answer in U. S. Dollars, but you can easily add "in Francs" or something to have it convert to a different unit of the same type.

Great! Please write an app for Android. I would rather use it than just the same formats on Chrome. Thanks!

This is an absolute must if you doing online research.

App works, but lacks other functions, and interface is kind of bland.

Useful, but focusing on the pop-out icon instead of the data-entry field is still a serious annoyance.

This extension in really useful. I was looking something like than; but I did not know much about extension. Finally I get it.

If I wanted a stupid calculator I would use windows. Calculator is not capable of processing large numbers. even in scientific notation for example solving for 365!/((365-30)!) = no result found. It is not even able to give me an answer for the sub steps I.E 365!. It also has issues with order of operations in higher functions. for example 5!/2!((5-2)!) =360 vs 5!/(2!((5-2)!) =10 If I wanted a stupid calculator I would use windows.

Nice basic calculator. Easy to use, keeps running tally of calculations.

It is good, although somethings I would like don't work, so I decided to start doing some testing. One thing I noticed, that would actually be very useful to add, is that if you try to power the mass of one object (say the moon) to the mass of the other object (say the sun) it can't be done by the calculator. A way to fix this would be to have it so that it solves all things that ask for a mass first, and then replace it with that, then go on solving. Also, if you were to do what I said above, [(mass of sun) ^ (mass of moon)], but replace the numbers yourself, you get the answer as infinity. I get that there is a physical limit with it depending on how many bits the system stores. But, if that limit is reached, have it let the user know it is too high to calculate, don't just default it to infinity.

Works well. However I always find it annoying to click the extension and then have to click the box again to type.

This app looks to coast along! Be careful! exp(-1) != 2.718281828459 Please, check how the input is send to google! If we have to check first, then it is not useful at all. It's real pity that Wolfram|Alpha is no more supported! We, users, should complain on their web forum.. Basic features like: 100 ppm in % doesn't work anymore.
