Works great to force YT to use highest Quality setting. Very nice other features. Only issues is that it keeps causing the theater mode (where the video is all across the screen) to revert back to normal smaller mode. The setting for auto wide mode is on, but does not work reliable. Would like the color filters to have a way to force enable at all times and not just be per video. They have one that sharpens the video, Detailization, that i would like always on.

Works on Chrome but not on Firefox. I can't access options to change the settings. The settings frame has been replaced by an add to download Movie Theater for Firefox. This is useless if I can't change the settings.

Used to love it. But I can't access options to change the settings. Browser and extention both up to date but the options page Load Options buttons doesn't do anything.

Its good, but it makes your account 'watch' and like random videos that people pay to have people to like and watch it, so this is basically just using your account, you can see in your liked videos and watch history of random videos in different languages, music videos, etc. overall its terrible, the only thing good about this is its 'magic actions' or whatever...

It only works (for me) if I go into the settings and make sure the auto hd is set to 4k instead of "ultra"

For all people!! THE EXTENSION IS AWESOME! DO NOT BELIEVE BAD REVIEWS! There are many.. thousands fake negative reviews. There are a lot of bots from competitors' apps that simply COPY ALL features from this extension (may not have an ideas), then defame the extension and actually do bad things for users. Basically, I can't imagine my day without this plugin/extension/addon. I originally got this extension a few years ago just to stop YouTube from "auto-playing" videos every time I opened a video in a new tab.... Absolutely LOVE instant volume control (wheel scroll volume control should be YouTube's default feature). Thanks guys, this is very useful tool. I'm definitely gonna suggest it to everyone I know, keep up the good work!

been using it fore years but stopped after recent update as the right click wide screen feautre was important to me and it hasn't been fixed for a while now , your effort is appreciated of course but it's not convenient any more

Installed then decided to check "'Privacy Practices" tab here on Chrome store: "Magic Actions for YouTube™ collects the following: User activity - For example: network monitoring, clicks, mouse position, scroll, or keystroke logging" You GOTTA be kidding me! keystroke logging.. be gone.

Please fix the expand mode to what it was!!

Really good extension but the cinema mode option has been broken for a long time and that's my main reason to use the extension.

Very good, however took a long time to update fixes for certain things. Besides that, probably one of the better YouTube enhancers.

Meh... sometime the skip ad button doesn't show and I a forced to watch bible man for 40 something minutes (and even other youtubers videos )....

Used this for years. Now the scroll to change volume function no longer works. When you go to the settings it just takes you to a MYCINEMA page which none of the options work. When opening a youtube video the screen like refreshes its self 2-3 times. Needs some TLC. Fixed the scroll for volume but the click in window for it to go "Cinema" doesn't work and the options still don't work. Still take you to the same page which none of the links work.

New updates ruined it. Makes you jump through hoops to get to settings. Asks you to enter and access key in address bar which is actually an URL. Super scammy

What happened to the expand mode (fullscreen in the window) via right clicking within the window? it was by far my favorite feature n the whole widget. Now I have to manually open a window, find the right button, and THEN right click the window when it was originally a single right-click. Please change it back!

Loved it before, but what happend to the volume scroll feature? that was the best part with this extension...:/

Worthless adware with an interface so unintuitive as to be completely unusable.

Can't access options - just endlessly loads the privacy cookies accept-page. Useless.

No part of me wants to get a _blank popup to your webpage when I click on a video to pause it. This happens a couple times a day. Stop it.

With every new update, M.A. become worse and worse. Before - with one click was possible to take snapshot. Now - Satanic rituals must be performed to get same result. Before - M.A. "taskbar" was in autohide mode. Now - its hide only, when drag mouse cursor. Before - volume control work by mouse wheel. Now its work sometimes. Before - M.A. settings was simple and easy. Now - lot of tasks disappear. Rest - not work properly.

nothing works anymore, no updates, nothing fixed. 0/5 Edit: 4/5: turns out settings are a bit confusing; now I managed to get my goal done, except for my dark mode is gone, and i cant find it anywhere in the options. Edit: 5/5, turns out dark mode is on the TOP LEFT corner, and at least a note should be written in the Options that that's there to be found.

What's annoying is whenever I open a video, it immediately pauses it. Also when I do pause, it puts the play button right back smack dab in the middle of the video, and the only fix I've seen is just to uninstall it. I get this is because of the speed booster, but it's still annoying in general. What also sucks is it keeps automatically putting me into theater mode.

EDIT: From some time ago most of the functions do not work anymore. It was a greath extension when it was working. FIRS REVIEW: Just great and very very useful :) :)

The speed boost doesn't work properly. The auto hd doesn't work properly. I have it set to 1080p and it keeps going to 480p instead. I have a gig connection so it definitely isn't that. This extension is extremely outdated and not working like others have said.

Update: Screenshot button is also broken. Great extension! But please fix the option to get rid of annotations and especially remove the transparent "Wand" and "Camera" icons in the top-right of the video that you can't turn off. Otherwise great. 4/5 stars.

Works Great !! Took a while to find out where to configure my you tube magic... It's at the bottom of a you tube window ! Praise and accolades to the software engineers and their technicians.

Does not work for me. I don't see where to configure the extension. When I click on options of this extension icon, there is a pop-up and nothing can be done. removed after 5 min.

This is a life changer... even though it was not AS good as I thought, it was still really really good.

I love this extension. It is a must for youtube. I use it on all my browsers and pcs. The Volume Wheel is so handy. The Auto HD is great. And lastly I use the Normal Playback custom option. I always put videos at 1.6x speed. I tried 2x but when I'm learning or trying to enjoy it is a bit to fast. 1.6x is the sweet spot for me. You'll have to get used to these speeds but once you do you'll love it. You'll gradually increase it as you go.

I keep having this problem when i see the tools but then one day there gone and i have to reinstall the extension. How do i fix this?

Reviews said I could turn off YouTube annotations. No such option available, just more data harvesting like any other phishing extension. Removed and rated as Krap.

Use to work great. Now it almost doesn't work at all.

This used to be an awesome extension! Unfortunately, I no longer have the capability to adjust any options. They seem frozen, nothing works. The only function that does is dark mode. I hope they fix it soon so I can enjoy it again.

Used to be my favorite extension, Ive used it for years, but suddenly it is completely broken. Auto HD has stopped working causing videos to default to 480p, and for some reason videos just start 1 minute into the video now for no clear reason. Additionally, it has started bugging out and sometimes I cant even see my cursor over the video nor can I bring out the video settings forcing me to refresh until it works. Real shame because I loved the features this extension added such as replay, but it's no longer functional enough to use.

FIX VOLUME

This EXTENSION is NOT what it used to be! The volume does not work, the cinema does not work, etc! I have to clear the cache before any of the options will work, if they do at all! It used to be a good extension, not now!

This app worked great. Then they forced you to turn off ad blocking just to change your settings. Yeah... That's a no from me dog. If you're savvy enough, it has a script that loads your options into an iframe. But if you have an ad blocker, it removes it from the DOM. So set a break point on a script, then view elements. Find the div with the class U9SS. Delete that class from that div. Continue the debugging. Now it won't remove your options.

It always defaults to widescreen view, I wish it would stick to the regular-sized player. Otherwise, 5 stars.

Works about half the time, breaks the rest, and is terrible at explaining what each function does.

I used to love this extension more, but now, I can't change any settings anymore as this app is beyond bugged. I still recommend it though for being able to pause the video until I am absolutely ready to watch it.

Would be great if the button was not right in the middle of the volume and the settings so that you dont always end up popping it up and then it messes with your video and you lose the mouse pointer and its just really annoying because its always popping up. MOVE IT!

This app is buggy. You have to refresh and then minimize the player to get the cinema view. I have asked for this to be fixed but I have been ignored. But if you can deal with the bugs then it works well

The functionality is pretty good but it has ALWAYS been buggy, like the controls stay on the screen after you move your mouse away and videos are sometimes displayed in Theater Mode and sometimes in Default view, unfortunately the option to control that doesn't even exist. Also, if you use an adblock extension you are not able to change any settings. Furthermore, the settings page doesn't work AT ALL in Brave Browser. It's one of those extensions that was great at first and is just getting worse as time goes by. Shame

Its great with all the additional features, but the main thing for me was to block ads and it doesn't do that unlike stated. So not up to the mark.

It became a bloatware, more options from YT don't work then do, pop-ups are annoying. Just don't use this app. Blatant disregard to the EU laws about cookies and being unable to do anything when you have adblocker on should be enough of a reason.

I had to remove the extension for now and switch to alternative Tampermonkey scripts, as the developer asks me disable the ad-blocking software before it shows me the Options page. Unfair enough.

Love this addon, very helpful. Bug?: One thing have changed though since I'm using it: previously I could hide the Youtube Play button completly with this addon, during play/pauses. This was the main reason for my install month ago, and happily used it. Now it's doesn't work, I presume something changed by YT (?). (Win10, desktop PC, chrome). Would greatly appritiate if you could look at it, maybe there is an easy fix.

Can not get to Options keeps saying that a extension is block content even though i have no other extension active

Lately When I want to enter settings it say to disable my pop-up blocker but everything is disabled including Chrome settings. Bad move from the developer to deny access to settings just so it can force some Ads in the page. 2 stars my friend, and uninstall

This extension has been broken for a good while now, and still no fix. I have to refresh to youtube page every video, for any function to activate. I used to love this extension but it's becoming worst and worst. It all started when the volume display number started to show where the mouse is instead of the corner. Before you ask me to clear my cache.. please don't bother insulting me with such trivial fix

I installed this to use Auto HD feature but that does not seem to be working. Videos are loaded with lowest resolution only. Not sure about other feature if they work or not

I don't get it why does it works sometimes and sometimes don't. I am talking only about volume adjusting with scrolling. Sometimes I have to restart chrome in order to work. This is getting really frustrating. Recommend me an alternative please

You can no longer access settings for the extension while using adblock/pihole.

Awesome extension, it gives you all the control you wanted, but never had before. Try it, you'll LIKE IT! SCRAP THAT! I don't know what they have done to the app, but it no longer works very well and now I cannot get to the settings for the app.I have asked for help, we'll see if they answer. If the do and we can resolve the issue, then I wll change the review...

It doesn't work everytime i open a new video. the red icon is missing under the video many time.

So many features now, BUT can you add one more important feature: During pause let the controls hide. Right now I am using separate extension just for that. aaand...you can add screen capture option, again...another extension I am using. If you do so.. you will be No.1 Youtube extension. Thank you.

Something wrong has become with volume. Disabled this feature. Switched volume control to Enhancer for YouTube.

THIS WAS AWSOME

I used to love this extension, but it's been getting worse and worse with time, and stuff doesn't work properly anymore or they're poorly done. For example, changing the audio volume with the mouse wheel doesn't make it stick like it does when you click it manually. Easy to fix, yet it hasn't been fixed for a long time. Then we also have the menu that at the beginning was at the bottom of the video, which was perfect. Not intrusive, just go down and use it. But now it's next to the video settings where you add subtitles and all, which is 100% and horribly intrusive, and you keep opening it when you don't want to. Because for some reason hovering it is enough for it to open, and to close it you need to either click or move the mouse outside of the video window, which makes no sense. If you're thinking about isntalling it, then don't, and look for similar ones that at least get updated regularly and work properly. This one pretty much seems abandoned. And seems like the devs don't even use it, because problems that you can easily see while using it on a daily basis, are never fixed. I rate 2 stars because I liked it at first, but it should be 1 star due to how it's been working since then.

This was a very good extension. But all the pop-ups and broken features ruined it. I've moved to 'Improve YouTube!' (Video & YouTube Tools)?. Much happier.

Used for years... but I've finally had it with the popup ads. An added hyper link to the scroll wheel volume feature was the final nail in the coffin for me. It's a shame this developer is so greedy, I wouldn't mind buying this extension if I could do without the million popups.

Hi, I've been using this for a few years now, I got it so I can set 1440p resolution once and forget about it since youtube keeps reverting back to 480p for me. It worked great for a long time but since the past couple of months it keeps downgrading the rez to 480p. Dev if you read this please help me fix this. I don't know why this is happening. I'm still using Magic actions since every other feature is working! Just need the Rez feature!

Doesn't work with Brave... ...at least not the functions that I need, which is global YT and set video quality. When I set it to 1440p it does exactly the same as what YT does when set to auto and showing 1440p, which is "I might display 1440p when I feel like". If you then set it to 1440p manually you will notice it wasn't 1440p before.

I used this extension from 2014 and I used to like it a lot. This extension functionally is good but it frequently opens its settings into a NEW tab when i click somewhere on the video, and I can't control+w to close it because the "are you sure you want to leave" message. Super tedious closing this window hundreds of times. The magic options menu needs to be configurable, i want the options in a bar not in that frustrating collapsible box, and im never going to click "rate, subscribe, facebook, twitter, secure account" from this menu just remove them zzzzz.

For the love of god, please fix the Stop Autoplay function, it skips the first half second of the video and it's annoying as hell. Sent you an email some time ago detailing the issue but got no response, please fix it, it drives me nuts, otherwise it would be a perfect extension.

Recently I've been experiencing a weird problem: the volume level of the video sometimes increases or decreases (by around 40-50%) without me doing anything at all. To be honest I haven't tried disabling Magic Actions yet, I just instantly thought it might be what's casusing the issue. Apart from this issue it's a great extension. I highly recommend it.
