Since few days ago started constantly disable itself with error "This extension reloaded itself too frequently."
worked fine for a while but now it stopped working. tell me to "log in with twitch" redirects me to an authentification page but nothing happens. very sad
Thank you for making a replacement for Twitch Now ? it works very well
It works ok about half of the time. The rest of the time it is constantly asking you to login to twitch or just not updating.
It's good but sometimes it'll stop working or get stuck showing people as live when they're not live, or failing to send notifications
When I try to sign-in after installing the addon it takes me to a page "https://id.twitch.tv/oauth2/'" and says 404 page not found edit: I have changed my rating. Turns out I needed to disable ublock matrix and origin. Once I did that I was able to login and give permissions. I have now turned them back and and the extension is working as intended. The extension is well made and feature rich. Thanks!
Successor to Twitch Now indeed.
Extension isn't bad but there's no noticeable notification when a channel goes live. Some sort of audio or visual cue would great to have that way if I'm doing chores, I can hear when someone goes live & take a second to pull up their channel or if I'm listening to music I can see someone come on line. The only way to tell right now is to constantly be looking at the extension icon.
Login ain't sketchy (at least for me) looks nice hope will work as good as Twitch Now that decided to die just like that so it's a good replacement, might be an upgrade even but ye this one ain't bad.
Great extension but there is one wish. Please add a sound for notifications like in Twitch Now. Windows notifications do not always work, so I have to switch to native Google Chrome notifications which have no sound.
Esta lindo y funciona mejor que TwitchNow
Very good
Perfect Twitch Now replacement ?
Love it! It's even better than TwitchNow.
Fantastic extension so far. I'd say it's slowly starting to be even better than TwitchNow, which to be fair had a lot of features, but a lot of them weren't working for some time now. Props to the dev for putting in the effort to fill that gap TwitchNow left!
Has all the features that I am looking for: filtering notifications received by channel.
After Twitch Now died I have been seriously hurting for a replacement. I have just gone threw over a dozen live, notifier, etc. extensions and all of them are broken af. This worked immediately, looks and feels great. This needs more stars so it can push the other garbage down and make it easier for people to find a working extension.
Almost perfect replacement for Twitch Now, as other have said - other than one thing... Please add the ability to open streams in popout/new tab :) Much love!
The perfect Twitch Now replacement. Even better than what it was.
The only Twitch alert extension that still works... However, I would like it if there was an option to play a sound when a streamer goes live like Twitch Now and Vinesauce Alert did. I keep missing streams without those.
I changed from Twitch Now because extension stopped working. I must say, customizations like sorting by uptime, viewer count are amazing.
Perfect replacement for Twitch Now. Minor suggestion to add this to chrome's extensions keyboard shortcuts list.
Great Twitch Now Replacement .
5/5
Thanks for this
This is a great extension so far. I do have the issue of having two scrollbars, but hopefully that can easily be fixed
excellent, better than twitch now ever was
A damn good replacement for Twitch Now. This is probably what the original extension would've became had the dev kept working on it. UI is more modern, uptime is calculated/updated in real time, and even has a few extra features to boot. My only gripe is with the pinning feature. It's great and works as intended, but I wish it was more of a "let's differentiate these streams at the top" (ie. just show their avatar, if they're live, and uptime at the top) instead of just a "lets pin these to the top". Probably asking for a bit too much there, and maybe I'm part of a weird niche that thinks so, but that's just my opinion. It doesn't take away any of the greatness of the extension at all, and I applaud the dev for all the work that's been done so far.
Since TwitchNow died I found this new one that does exactly what I need it to and it's fantastic. Glad to have it and hope it keeps being updated as needed!
Is it possible to have a tab for followed categories? I know it may not be able to because of API stuff. Other than that great extension! Love how you did the UI it looks very fresh and clean!
Like many I found this as a replacement for Twitch Now, ever since it broke and never got any update/response. It was one of my most used chrome extensions and saved a ton of time having to manually navigate twitch to see who is online / what game their streaming. When I first downloaded this extension it was early in development and had very little features in comparison, but in such a short amount of time has added tons of new & useful features. Just recently it now has uptime calculated in realtime and also added a pinning feature which I think is awesome, never knew pinning is something I wanted but makes it so much easier to see the main streams I care about without continuous scrolling through the followed list. Thanks for the great work 5/5 .
Using this after Twitch Now stopped working. After getting used to having Twitch Now it was impossible to go back to actually browsing on Twitch, so it's great to have a worthy replacement.
Perfect replacement for the broken Twitch Now
Works great, looks good, happy it's open source.
Excellent replacement to what we lost. It's fast, the display is good, and it has most of the additional features I would expect. I love being able to sort my followed streams by uptime and category. That's a really helpful feature. I would like to see and option for larger text (12-18pt) and larger thumbnails for live channels.
I've only had the extension for a few minutes, but I'm preemptively giving it five stars. The UI is very sleek, and works smoothly even with my aging PC. Thank you so much for picking up where Twitch Now left off.
Pretty good. However, the followed channels list wouldn't refresh. There was also no button to manually refresh. Sometimes I'd find the followed channels list to be hours old.
good extension, need some improvement like force refresh
Great replacement for Twitch Now. I actually prefer the visuals of Gumbo vs Twitch Now. Keep up the good work dev!
this outright does not work, at least on vivaldi. I click the login with twitch button, and a separate window flashes on screen and then immediately closes. edit: new version works perfectly. 5/5
This extension is beautiful! The design looks great and works well.
Great replacement for Twitch Now
Really nice extension and replacement for others like Twitch Now. Only feature that I would love is to sort followed channels by categories (Note: I know you can search the specific category on the search bar but I would like to see all the followed channels sorted by category lists - similar to Twitch Live extension). Not sure if that is possible atm but I would absolutely love to see that implemented in the future!
This is a great replacement for Twitch Now - very similar UI, so it is an easy adjustment. My only minor pet peeve is that when viewing "Top categories", it doesn't show the total viewer count for a particular category. They do still seem to get ordered based on popularity, but being able to see the viewer count can sometimes be useful information, as it can convey that there might be a special broadcast that's drawing a lot viewers for a specific game, such as tournament/esports matches or special events like AGDQ.
I'm also a Twitch Now refugee. This is a great replacement, I especially like the design, how fast it is and the notification toggles!
Really nice UI, but it needs to show the number of people streaming near the extension's icon. I will use alternatives till then.
Can confirm this is working and i have finally found a working Twitch notification app
Great! Had used Twitch now for years and it stopped working. Found this instead. Only missing followed games but its a new extensions so maybe it will come. I dont use desktop notification, I prefer to click on the icon.
Twitch Now is no longer in service and this is a much better alternative! Dev updated the extension last month so seems like they pay attention to it. Highly recommend everyone use this over Twitch Now, the UI is very astatically pleasing too!
