The "Auto State" feature has stopped functioning a few days ago. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?
Pretty cool. Would be nice if you add Dark Mode and the ability to pin/unpin an extension to the toolbar.
tile view is awesome
While i appreciate what this extension does and what it aims to aspire to be, some of it's more advanced functionally sounds better in theory rather than it is practical. As a result, i don't bother to use them. Couldn't help but notice, nooboss does not handle bookmarks which is too bad but an extension called Ultra button does, and is very similar to nooboss at it's core. Nooboss is an excellent and truly innovative extension but it needs refinement and in then end, i uninstalled it
Would it be possible to make this extension launch other extensions? Lets say I want to activate a speed-test extension. I have to click on the puzzle piece, scroll down, find it, and click on it to test my connection speed.
Grouping extensions works fine, but there's no context menu to (de-)activate a group. You have to open NooBoss first and toggle groups or individual extensions/apps there. Although there's practically no real difference between left- or right-clicking to toggle a setting in a context menu or the main ui, one feels convenient while the other feels clunky and unfinished. The Autostate feature could've been truly great, but bad execution kills it. The extension doesn't care which tabs are currently active, inactive or in focus. If a rule is created so that a group of extensions only get loaded on a specific webpage/domain, e.g. Google Docs, those extensions won't get deactivated when you switch to a tab on a different webpage. Not even when the Google tab is sent to sleep by "Auto Tab Discard" or a similar extension. Those extensions will stay activated until you close the Google tab. This gets extremely annoying as soon as you have several tabs open with contradicting rules attached. So unless you never have more than a hand full of tabs open and don't mind frequently closing and re-opening tabs in order to get the right sets of extensions working, I cannot recommend this extension manager.
Absolutely life saver <3!
A must have extension that employs rules to enable and disable other browser extensions based on websites visited. In the absence of any guidelines, creating rules is somewhat confusing, and requires some exploring to get a hang of things. Thus far, I have had success using "Enable Only" to create rules. Haven't used "Disable Only" yet, and don't really understand how "Enable When" and "Disable When" work. Would appreciate it if anyone who has had success using them could point the rest of us - who don't know how - in the right direction.
The only Extension where you really see every Extension, App and Theme and where you really can check, enable, disable, remove every Extension, App and Theme. Not even Googles own "Chrome Apps & Extensions Developer Tool" was able to show me the hidden ones on Chromium, but with NooBoss no problem to see and disable them.
have many features but no one work correctly . also ugly slow interface
enabled 100 extensions all at once without any intention and crashed chrome, made me work hard to restore and I'm still not fully recoverd
The only extension manager allowing for unlimited auto state rules. However the extension is often irresponsive making it hard to use.
The only extension of it's kind (recently anyway) that gives you the update logging that is so direly needed. Someone could just put in some spyware code in an extension and you wouldn't know until much later (e.g. The Great Suspender). At least with this you can review once in a while and get notifications when apps are updated. Of course this can go a long way still in terms of the updates (like actual changelog from each respective extension, comparing previous CRX, but that is probably a lot of coding).
This extension makes managing my extensions so much easier. I love that I can group types together (SEO, web design, productivity, etc) so that I don't have to have them always when I don't need them. I'm still trying to figure out how the automated rules work because, unfortunately, like other developers, the instructions are not clear. I think the developers are acting as we know as much as they do about programming or it's a language barrier. But I'll figure it out eventually.
I like this app. Wished it looked more minimalistic in design, but it works great!

i use it to disable all extension when i open any local html file. But it doesn't automatically enables those extensions for other tabs, i need to close the tab (where i opened the local file), only then it enables those extension automatically.
Needs an option to disable items in separated sections. turning off all extensions without disabling apps or the current theme, for instance.
This is one killer extension. First of all, it's great that you can create groups and then turn those groups ON/OFF automatically when you are using certain sites. For examples, there are about 4-5 extensions I only use with Gmail. So, I put these in a "Gmail" group and have NooBoss only turn them on when I'm on Gmail. And, like you can do with SimpleExtManager and other extensions, you can create groups of extensions so that you can quickly turned them on or off.
Dangerous and infriendly ! When I press "enable" all my 500 extensions enabled and cannot be stopped! No confirmation at all.
This was a great extension, and very helpful. However, changes to Chrome in the past few months seem to have overpowered it, and there's been no update. The little puzzle piece controls everything now.
google chomer
Amazing! Also, brethren, try these Auto State regular expressions using Enable Only. It does wonders! // enables extension only when a tab contains the site (.+(nameOfSite)\.com(/.+)?) // disables extension when no tab contains the site ^(?=.+(.+\..+)(/.+)?)(?=^((?!.+(nameOfSite)\.com(/.+)?).)*$).*$
Auto rules depending on website is great! For instance, if you have some memory-hungry extensions you only use on one site (e.g., Amazon), it will automatically enable them all when you are on Amazon and disable them again once you leave. It's a bit of a curve if you're not well versed in this stuff, but well worth the trouble--and the only extension among the many I tried that would reliably work to do this.
awesome, thanks!
This extension manager is AMAZING! It has everything you need in regards to extension managing. You can organize, view, filter, group, check history, and even automize per website!
I've been using this extension for years but the last update broke it. Now when I click on the icon to manage extensions the text is gigantic, rendering the UI unusable.
Extension still needs a lot of work. No highlight or notification to show groups or states currently in use There should be a pop-up to inform you what a button does when you hover over it No way to confirm changes before they are made A good concept but amateurish coding Still far from a finished product
It is easy, fast and trusted to do the job! I use it to turn IDM on and off in Opera browser.
No compatibility for amazon.co.jp.
all I needed, was just hard to find the keywords to search it (not exactly a common thing people need in their lives). thanks
amazing, i've used it for one year! it's a great extension! it helps me save lots of memory! Thank yo!!!
Really good one to group extensions. ● It have search but not drag or scroll or looking with no label like others ● Order as enable/disable time However With a large number of extensions, it works slowly. It may happends by the function of auto saving. So just place a save button on the group edit popup, when user done the editing.
Huh? You won't let me change my display name in your community pages?? Also, there is a setting to reset view to 100% but no setting ANYWHERE to zoom out... Since I am unimpressed I tried to delete my community account, but somehow when I originally signed in using Google authentication you entered some bogus password for me. There is a password that I didn't set! Are you serious? You are now spam!
I set it to disable a bunch of extensions on my local sites (ending .local). However, they do not seem to reenable once I visit another site...
不知道从什么时候好像不能导出配置了,提示导出到Nooboss.options,不过电脑里根本找不到这个文件
If you've ever wanted an uglier and crappier way to enable/disable your Chrome extensions with barely any extra functionality and a button that disables every extension instantly and permanently removes your Chrome theme without any hint it will do that and no confirmation box then please be my guest and install this.
It's just what I've been looking for in a long time.
just what i have been dreaming for
Google should just buy this and add it to chrome by default. Also, I reported a bug here and the creator fixed it in 1 hour. <3
One of the best extensions I've tried. I'd really like an equivalent Firefox addon.
Used to be great. Now with latest update to "Tile view-only" version, its broken and in general is far less useful and tedious to use: With updated that just occurred (changing from list to grid view) NooBoss now always shows this warning, even after click "Confirm" button to reset the zoom: "Page zoom for NooBoss is not 100%, please click confirm to set zoom to 100%" Actually, clicking Confirm causes the extension popup to close, so have to re-open and get the warning again, etc. so that *can never use it*, unless click Cancel. This is really annoying as have to click through each time I click toolbar button to popup and use the extension. Also, should default to Extensions tab, and have that shown as first tab, as it's confusing, and also I see animation of shifting from Overview tab each time it pops up. Since Overview stats can be shown in 1 line, just put at top of bottom of Extensions tab instead. Please show the on/off toggle button always on top of app extension tiles, so don't have to hover over and wait for flipping animation to show it. Likewise please show full extension name (with wrap around 2 lines or cutoff) since having it just shown as "Open" for extension name unless hover over it is useless. Make tiles slightly larger if needed. Please also bring back the List view, which much prefer anyways.
loved the auto rules feature! another great option to make more use of Chrome on Mac while preventing the browser from eating up all the RAM and slow start
非常棒的插件,决定弃用context了。
I need to enable and disable Chrome Vox because its own disable mechanism doesn't work. I was enabling and disabling Chrome Vox by managing extensions which seemed like a pain. This seems a bit easier. I wish I could set a single toggle button in the extensions tray for that, however.
Just the app I was looking for. Works like a charm.
Far more useful & informative than Chrome default Extensions page. Edit: Around 18/03/17 "Manage Extension" arrive. This extension considered complete for me. Star + ***
useful toolset. keeps getting better.
Very slick extension manager. Feature-rich and powerful, also pretty, but would be even better if it supported Groups, turning groups of extensions on and off with a single click like SimpleExtManager.
set rules than forget my 40+ extensions thank you for your work
Very promising new extension.
works great, so far
Very helpful for tracking ext. but a few small changes could help a lot; see suggestions under support. Thanks for this.
